Poetry is so much more powerful than I ever thought I was. So, I’ve never been able to share it before. The process is literally wild and I never understood how it “worked”. I used to make it too much about me. Finally, I realized I just happened to be at the right place, the right time, and the right write. The poems always have to remind me they are creatures unto their own. Entities with intention and power they desire to share with the world. It’s my/our responsibility to set them free so their wild wisdom can infiltrate our bones. They have been knocking on my door and now it’s time for them to knock on yours.
